That fretful evening, at the evening-meal,

He generously presented Himself

Through secret eyes

I encountered His Shepherd-form

in the niche of my heart,

in a pinprick of golden Light,

His gaze tender, serene, sad

A great deal of time lapsed

before I could faultlessly fathom

the letters of Light,

the Holiness constituting me

they were spelling
